Development of an IoT application connecting automotive workshop machines to the cloud. The project brings physical equipment into a connected software environment. It draws on my experience at the intersection of technical products, application development and cloud architecture.
Personal project · Data & automation
An automated search agent that finds events matching regional preferences and personal interests. I developed an extraction and transformation workflow to search event websites, normalize the information and store it for reuse. The agent uses this data to compile periodic personalized email recommendations, connecting information gathering with a concrete everyday use.

In a separate follow-up project, I am extending and migrating the interface to new standards and requirements from Deutsche Bundesbank. This work builds on the existing implementation and requires renewed certification.

Engineering & responsibility
I am Thorsten Kußler, a software developer and architect with a background in computer science and toolmaking. I have been programming since 1983. Working independently taught me to get to grips with unfamiliar domains, make technical decisions and take responsibility for the result.
My path has taken me from toolmaking through roles as a lead developer, software architect, project lead and Product Owner to the senior developer I am today. Each role has shaped how I approach software: with attention to detail, a view of the whole system and an understanding of what the product needs to achieve. I bring that experience to hands-on development and technical decisions.
